The current (2020/2021) stamp duty land tax, SDLT, rates, are summarised below, from HMRC and revised in SDLT holiday .

Up to £500,000	0%
£500,001 to £925,000	5%
£925,001 to £1,500,000	10%
Above £1,500,001	12%

If you are purchasing a second home, or a buy to let property the rate is increased by 3% in each band above.
